“In April 2005 I was involved in a car accident. The following day I awoke in terrible shape with a headache and pain in all my muscles.

“I called a few doctors and was told they could not accept new patients quickly. My insurance company recommended the Arizona Center for Family and Wellness Care. I called and got an appointment with Dr. Ed Weathersby that same day! He was very nice to me, and I liked the treatment.

“My lawyer and husband encouraged me to see a medical doctor. I told them no, I was happy with Dr. Weathersby, the location of his office, and the affordability of the treatments.

“My treatments were performed by Dr. Brian Weathersby, who was also very professional. Soon after I began my treatments, I mentioned to Dr. Brian that my son had fallen while on a playground and hurt his head and back. Dr. Brian invited me to bring my son to see him, and he examined him to make sure he was all right. I was relieved.

“My lawyer called me again and said he wanted me to see another kind of doctor for another opinion. I gave in and made an appointment. After one hour of waiting, I saw an obnoxious doctor who smelled of onions. He gave me medication that I didn’t need. I didn’t think he was very professional. I called my lawyer back and said I wasn’t going to switch doctors. I was going to stay with Dr. Brian.

“Now I am nearing the end of my treatment plan, and I feel good. As a fitness instructor, I do a lot of exercises. I wasn’t able to do all of them while I was injured, but now I can do a gymnastics bridge again!

“The staff members at the Arizona Center for Family and Wellness Care are all so friendly. The people you meet in an office give you a first impression, and the first impression I had was very good. They also have been good at working with me when I needed to reschedule my appointments.”

“Back in 1995 I made my first appointment with Dr. Weathersby with some hesitation because of the myth I’ve always heard, ‘Once you to go a chiropractor you always have to go back.’

“I have a physical job working on the ramp at Sky Harbor Airport, loading luggage on and off the airplanes. The right side of my neck was so tight from lifting, it was causing sensitivity on the right side of my head. Wind blowing through my hair drove me crazy. Dr. Weathersby did X-rays and an exam. Within about two months of treatment it all went away.

I was totally convinced how chiropractors help keep my body all in line. I now come once a month for an adjustment. I figure it’s like I have to take care of my car with tune-ups and oil changes. Why wouldn’t I take care of my body? It’s preventive maintenance. So, ten years later, I find the myth busted. It’s not the chiropractor that makes you keep going back. It’s because of how they make your body feel that you keep going back.”
